Perfect Your Golf Game: How To Own Your Own Swing

golf swing instructional lessonsIn terms of how to perfect your golf game, there are some steps you can take to own your swing.

In other words, it is not all that difficult to perfect your golf game and own your own golf swing if you understand the true fundamentals of golf and build your swing with such knowledge.

In a recent golf article Tiger woods commented that he would like to own his own swing.

The article suggested there only have been two professional golfers who truly owned their own swing: Ben Hogan and Moe Norman.

I would disagree somewhat because I think Lee Trevino definitely owned his own swing and, along with Ben Hogan and Moe Norman, was one of the best ball-strikers in the history of the sport. He too could hit the golf ball straight as you can point.

Nevertheless, Tiger has never owned his own swing because he has gone through too many changes, including those with Sean Foley.

What Tiger, Sean Foley and Tiger’s former coaches do know about the fundamentals of golf is what I refer to in many of my books and videos as the “Vardon Curse.”

The “Vardon Curse” describes what occurs the very instant a Vardon overlapping, conventional interlocking or regular baseball style of grip is formed on aa golf club.

The very instant any of these styles of grip are assumed, the wrists will rotate the club face to an open alignment and the elbow line to an out-to-in path across the shoulder line to establish a slice ball flight.

Once you understand this fundamental of golf, you only need to learn how to convert this inherent slice ball flight alignment to your desired ball flight and then lock-in your desired ball flight.

Then, once you have locked-in your desired ball flight alignment, all that remains is to complete your setup proceedings.

This requires you to center the sweet spot of your club face as near as possible to the back of your ball (without moving it in the process) and align your shoulders parallel with your directional line.

If you then keep your left heel planted, maintain eye contact with your ball and execute a regular golf swing without attempting to manipulate your club face off its pre-swing alignment and path, the impact position of your club face will replicate its address position and your ball will fly precisely where you intended, discounting wind conditions and elevation differentials between your stance and your ball.

You then will own your own golf swing and so would Tiger woods if he followed the same procedures.

However, it could take you and Tiger Woods a very long time to learn precisely how to convert the inherent slice ball flight alignment (that occurs the very instant you assume a conventional style of golf grip) to a desired ball flight alignment.

Although it took me more than ten years of research and experiments to learn how to convert the inherent slice alignment (that occurs the instant a conventional style of grip is assumed) to a desired ball flight,  I now have designed, developed and perfected more than 100 techniques to lock-in and hit a straight golf shot

In addition, I have designed, developed and perfected more than 60 techniques to lock-in and hit shaped golf shots, such as a controlled fade, draw, slice, hook, push and pull.

Many of my techniques to lock-in straight as well as shaped golf shots are now available in books, Special Reports and DVD’s at http://lockedingolf.com and http://shapedgolfshots.com.

Once you learn how to lock-in your desired ball flight and follow the remainder of the instructions in each technique, you will be able to perfect your golf game and own your own swing.
