How To Drive Your Golf Ball Straight And Far: Keep Your Left Heel Planted And Make A Fuller Shoulder Turn

There are several steps you can take in terms of how to drive your golf ball straight and far.

First of all, you must comply with the basic fundamentals when learning how to drive your golf ball straight and far.

The most important fundamental in golf  is to grip your club correctly.

If you have any doubts about whether you are gripping your club correctly, you should seek the help of a professional instructor to ensure that you are.

Secondly, once you have gripped your club correctly you should not disconnect the lifeline of your right hand from your left thumb unless doing so to perform some of my techniques to lock-in a straight ball flight alignment.

Addressing your ball properly is one of the most significant steps in the pre-swing proceedings.

This entails centering the sweet spot of you club face as near to the back of your ball as possible without moving your ball in the process.

It means you should flex your knees in a military “at ease” position in order to stand tall to the ball and allow your hips to rotate freely.

It likewise entails standing to he ball so your hands are positioned directly in line and below your shoulders.

Perhaps the most critical part of the setup phase of the swing is to ensure your shoulders are aligned parallel with your target line, the imaginary line running from your target back to and through your ball.

Once you have complied with these fundamentals in the setup phase of the swing, you should consider having only three “swing thoughts.”

One, keep your left heel planted firmly during your swing.

Two, maintain eye contact with your ball from the beginning of your swing through impact.

Three, while keeping you left heel planted and maintaining eye contact with your ball, keep your left arm reasonably straight and swing your club  until your left shoulder firmly touches your chin.

Then, continue to maintain eye contact with your ball and allow your club face to return to your ball in a reflexive manner without attempting to steer it in any manner.

You then will experience how to drive your ball far and straight.
