how to hit your golf ball straighter and longerIn terms of how to hit your golf ball straight you should be careful about exercising the “squat” movement in your golf swing.

It may indeed prevent you from experiencing how to hit your golf ball straight.

Any unusual movement during your down swing will change the alignment and path of your club face to some degree. Consequently , it will  cause you to hit your ball in a different direction and pattern than otherwise.

If you wish to hit a golf ball straight, there are several golf swing tips that should be followed:

First, you should grip your club in a conventional manner and complete your grip by locking the lifeline of your right hand squarely and firmly on your left thumb.

Next, you should establish a square alignment and an on line swing path of your club with the face of your club centered as near as possible to the back of your ball and, at the same time, have your shoulders aligned parallel with your target line at the completion of your setup routine.

If you then were to execute a regular golf swing without any manipulation of your club to re-route the alignment and swing path of your club face, you should produce a straight golf shot.

However, if you were to have manipulated the club during your swing in such example you would have re-routed the alignment and swing path of your club and have produced something other than a straight shot.

Making a squatting movement in an unusual way during your down swing, whether intentional or inadvertent, likewise will re-route the alignment and path of the club face and will produce an errant golf shot, assuming all of  the aforementioned golf swing tips were followed to produce a straight golf shot.

Just because Tiger Woods and other top golfers have incorporated a “squatting” movement in their swings does not mean that you should do the same.

You may gain a little more distance with such a movement but it will not help you in terms of  how to hit your golf ball straight.
